Most classes can do some combination of Assassin's Promise, Ebon Assassin Support, and Finish him + class utility for high burst damage. Any dagger spammers should be able to hit around ~120 single target dps easily. Anything more than that is better. For example, an r/a pet/dagger spammer with TaO and SoH@8 will hit ~150 dps without trying. Revenant, Ranger, Guardian, Mesmer, Necromancer and Warrior are the class that have group synergic build. In fractal Guardian and Revenant are pretty popular, but it really depend on the group. Elementalist, Thief and Engineer are good profession, but they don't provide as much buffs for the group. Eye of the North. Skills are the basic gameplay unit in Guild Wars. There are many skills in the game, and each campaign contains its own set of hundreds. In staging areas, a player can choose to equip skills in their skill bar, to a maximum of 8 skills (including at most one elite skill) at a time. Skill icons represents skills in the User The only classes that are "good" with staff in High End PvE are Thief, Ele, and Druid. In open world, anything with staff is good with staff TBH (Guardian, Revenant, Thief, Druid, Necro, Mesmer, and Ele) It used to be that Guardian staff was the best for zerging. Staff thief is more "okay" than "good", but it's certainly usable. Easiness would be ranger -> necromancer -> elementalist. Ranger and necro are very similar to me in solo play pve. You can get a pet or minion on either class to act as a distraction/damage source and both classes are fairly tough and have decent health pools. Their high end play is quite different, but for just fiddling around in zones If you want to pick the most versatile classes that are also used in dungeon speedclears ( which makes up the majority of all endgame content ) then I'd go with : 1.Assasin , 2.dervish or 3.ranger for melee Or 1.Mesmer ,2.Elementalist ,3.ritualist and maybe necromancer. The most versatile by FAR are assassin ranger and Mesmer though . Ele and Ranger are the two best so from there you can figure out how you want to go. Ranger, by far. Durable, good single target damage, largest range, best weapon from /bonus, and ofc there's the pet too. Ranger for armor, pet, and ranged damage. what am i doing May 3, 2015 @ 4:17am. When people say you can solo Guild Wars they don't mean you can do it with one character, they mean you can do it without any other human players. The wording comes from back when it was conventional to do the game with humans, and when AI were a disadvantage, but still doable. NIEI8.
